Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Kitchen Manager to oversee daily operations in a fast-paced food service environment. This role involves supervising kitchen staff, ensuring food safety standards, managing inventory, and maintaining high-quality food preparation and presentation. Responsibilities
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure quality standards are met.
- Supervise and manage kitchen staff, including interviewing, training, scheduling, and evaluating performance.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper handling of food products.
- Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and control costs to maximize efficiency.
- Operate POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and cash handling.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area in accordance with health regulations.
- Lead by example in providing excellent customer service and hospitality to guests.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Implement procedures for food safety, sanitation, and quality control.
- Assist in menu planning and new dish development based on customer preferences and industry trends.
- Handle customer inquiries or complaints professionally to ensure guest satisfaction.
Requirements
- Proven experience in restaurant management or food service leadership roles.
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food handling techniques.
- Prior supervisory or team management experience within the food industry or hospitality sector.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms; cash handling experience is essential.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations; certification preferred.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on hospitality excellence.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with interviewing and hiring staff to build effective teams.
- Previous restaurant or hotel experience is highly desirable; Kitchen Manager experience is a plus.
