AB Academy is seeking dedicated, nurturing, and passionate Elementary Teachers to join our growing team. We are currently hiring multiple teachers for Kindergarten through Grade 4 who are committed to fostering a love of learning, building strong academic foundations, and supporting the holistic development of young learners.
The successful candidate will create engaging, student-centered learning experiences that promote literacy, numeracy, inquiry, creativity, and character development. Teachers will work collaboratively within a supportive school environment focused on academic excellence, student well-being, and educational innovation.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the Ontario Curriculum for Kindergarten and/or Grades 1–4.
- Foster literacy, numeracy, critical thinking, creativity, and social-emotional development through age-appropriate instructional strategies.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and structured classroom environment that promotes student engagement and success.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners, including English Language Learners and students with varying learning profiles.
- Assess, evaluate, and provide timely feedback on student learning and development.
- Maintain accurate student records and communicate student progress effectively with parents and guardians.
- Collaborate with colleagues to support cross-curricular learning, school initiatives, and student success.
- Integrate educational technology and innovative teaching practices into classroom instruction.
- Participate in school events, extracurricular activities, professional development, and school improvement initiatives.
- Support the mission, values, and educational philosophy of the school.
QualificationsRequired
- Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) certification or eligibility for certification.
- Strong knowledge of the Ontario Curriculum.
- Excellent communication, classroom management, and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Legally authorized to work in Canada.
- Knowledge of and commitment to Islamic values.
Preferred Assets
- Experience teaching Kindergarten and/or Elementary students.
- Experience working with diverse learners, including English Language Learners and students with special education needs.
- Familiarity with inquiry-based learning approaches.
- Arabic language proficiency.
- Previous experience in an independent or faith-based school setting.

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
