- Reports To: Facility Manager
- Location: H2O Adventure + Fitness Centre
- Schedule: Must be available to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends as required
- Team: Works closely with Building Operators and cross-functional teams

- Operate, inspect, and maintain HVAC units, boilers, pumps, filters, and automation controls
- Monitor and maintain pool chemistry and water balance in compliance with Interior Health regulations
- Conduct daily equipment rounds, log readings, and perform preventative maintenance
- Respond to alarms, mechanical failures, and operational issues
- Support contractors, vendors, and City of Kelowna representatives during maintenance and capital projects
- Adhere to WorkSafeBC, Technical Safety BC, Interior Health, and YMCA SIBC policies
- Participate in monthly safety inspections, emergency lighting tests, and equipment checks
- Maintain records of inspections, work orders, and compliance forms using CMMS
- Report hazards or unsafe conditions to the Facility Manager
- Coordinate with Aquatics, Fitness, Housekeeping, and Membership teams
- Collaborate with other Building Operators on maintenance planning and special projects
- Mentor and support junior maintenance staff
- Trade certification (e.g., Journeyman Electrician, Plumber, Class 4 Power Engineer)
- 2–3 years of facility or building maintenance experience (aquatic facility experience is an asset)
- Knowledge of pool systems, filtration, and chemical feed systems
- Experience with chlorine gas or pressurized chemical systems
- Pool Operator Level I or II Certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
- Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically active work safely
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends

- Satisfactory Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Search (issued within 6 months of start date)
