JOB SUMMARY:
The Software Tester III leads complex testing efforts, contributes to devising test strategy, and acts as subject matter expert regarding both testing methodologies and gaming protocols. This role provides technical guidance to QA team members, collaborates with cross-functional teams, and ensures high-quality delivery of server products and casino games.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Define test strategy, design test scenarios and create detailed test plans, including estimates and risk assessments.
- Participate in QA Acceptance Gate reviews, measure coverage and evaluate overall system quality.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams—including developers, math, design, and product stakeholders—to ensure testability and quality of architecture and design.
- Execute primarily manual test cases, with occasional automated testing, according to the approved test plan.
- Prepare live test environments, including slot machines and test bench configurations.
- Perform all levels of testing—including SAS protocol validation—and serve as advisor on SAS tools, behavior and best practices.
- Investigate, reproduce and troubleshoot complex issues using logs, SAS traces and system diagnostics to assist in issue resolution.
- Detect, report and track software defects and inconsistencies.
- Contribute to automation initiatives, leveraging tools such as Selenium, Python, C#, and/or internal frameworks.
- Lead assigned projects and coordinate testing activities across team members.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to QA team members.
- Provide regular project status updates to the QA Manager and relevant stakeholders.
- Perform related duties as required to support project and organizational objectives.
- Create and maintain test documentation, including test cases, results and internal QA knowledge‑based documentation.
- Help refine QA standards, procedures and best practices while improving QA efficiency.
- Participate in and contribute to project postmortem meetings, providing process improvement recommendations.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

- College diploma or bachelor’s degree in computer science or relevant experience.
- 5+ years’ experience in Quality Assurance, in slot game testing environment.
- Demonstrated advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- ISTQB certification is highly preferred.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
- Strong time‑management skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Bilingualism (French and English), with strong verbal and written communication skills, is considered an asset.

- Able to work as part of a team or independently.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- In the course of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee is also regularly required to stand, walk, sit, and use hands and fingers to touch and handle objects, tools or controls.
- Specific visual abilities required for this job include near and distance acuity, peripheral awareness, depth perception and focus flexibility.
- Depending on the position, may have to travel locally, nationally or internationally.
