Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and guide them to their tables with a friendly demeanor
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using proper serving techniques
- Serve meals, drinks, and desserts efficiently while maintaining high standards of food handling and presentation
- Wine service, Gustav has a great wine list and we have Wine Spectator award
- Check in with guests regularly to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns promptly
- Clear tables and reset dining areas quickly to maintain a clean, organized environment
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal timing and special requests
- Handle cash or electronic payments accurately and responsibly
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, including ingredients and potential allergens, to assist guests effectively
Experience
- Previous experience in the food industry or food service is preferred but not required; we provide training for motivated candidates
- Familiarity with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Basic math skills for processing payments and managing bills accurately
- Experience working in hotels or hospitality environments is a plus but not mandatory
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Willingness to learn meal preparation techniques and assist with light food handling tasks
