About the Role
As part of our continued growth, we are seeking a detail-oriented, analytical, and highly organized Accounting Specialist to join our Finance team. Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role provides accounting support across multiple entities within the organization.
This is a newly created position and an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong foundation in accounting who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is eager to take initiative and grow professionally.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle Accounts Payable, including invoice processing, approvals, and payment preparation
- Prepare and reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and employee expenses
- Complete monthly sales tax reconciliations and filings
- Monitor cash positions and support cash flow management activities
- Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, and adjustments
- Support general accounting functions across AP, AR, general ledger, and tax compliance
- Contribute to process improvements and ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance
Qualifications & Skills
- Diploma in Accounting or Finance with 2+ years of relevant experience
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and processes
- Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently
- Proactive mindset with a strong sense of ownership and urgency
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Quick learner with adaptability to new systems and technologies
- Strong collaboration skills to work effectively across teams
- Experience with SAP Business One, Zoho, or Float AP is an asset
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and overall MS Office suite
