Community Support Worker 1 – Weekend Position

We are hiring for weekend positions in multiple homes supporting individuals with complex medical and behavioural needs. This is an opportunity to build strong relationships, promote independence, and be part of a supportive, professional team.
About the Role
The Community Support Worker 2 provides direct support to individuals in a residential setting and is responsible for promoting personal growth, independence, health, and community inclusion.
This position requires experience supporting individuals with complex needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and complex medical support
- Experience with lift/transfer systems and G-Tube feedings
- Support individuals who are non-verbal or have communication barriers
- Implement behaviour support strategies
- Assist with daily living tasks (meal prep, cleaning, laundry, budgeting)
- Support community access (appointments, recreation, shopping)
- Maintain accurate documentation and financial records
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and attend team meetings
- Maintain a safe, healthy home environment
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years related experience
OR 1 year experience + post-secondary diploma
- Experience with complex medical and behavioural needs
- Current First Aid & CPR
- Valid Alberta Class 5 Driver’s License (minimum 1 year driving experience)
- Reliable, roadworthy vehicle with $2M liability insurance
- Criminal Record Check & Child Welfare Check
- Ability to work fixed weekend shifts
