We are a growing south Indian food restaurant and we are focusing on specializing in daily tiffin meal delivery and restaurant catering for events, corporate clients, and private functions. We are looking for an experienced, hands-on manager to lead day-to-day operations, maintain food quality, and help us scale.
Position Summary
We are hiring a Tiffin & Catering Operations incharge to oversee the end-to-end running of our tiffin service and catering operations. The ideal candidate has prior experience managing tiffin meal preparation, subscription-based meal delivery, and large-format restaurant catering orders. You will manage staff, vendors, kitchen workflow, menu planning, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily tiffin meal preparation, packaging, and on-time delivery.
- Plan and execute catering orders for events, parties, corporate functions, and weddings.
- Manage kitchen staff, delivery personnel, and front-of-house catering crews — including scheduling, training, and performance reviews.
- Coordinate menu planning and portion control with the head chef.
- Maintain inventory, place purchase orders, and negotiate with suppliers/vendors.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and local health regulations.
- Handle customer inquiries, subscriptions, and resolve service complaints professionally.
- Track daily orders, revenue, and operational costs; report KPIs to ownership.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to improve efficiency.
- Build relationships with corporate clients, event planners, and repeat customers.
Required Qualifications
- 2–5+ years of experience managing a tiffin service, cloud kitchen, restaurant, or catering business.
- Proven track record of handling bulk meal production and event catering logistics.
- Strong knowledge of Indian/South Asian cuisine and meal planning (or relevant regional cuisine).
- Excellent leadership and staff management skills.
- Strong understanding of food safety standards (HACCP / local equivalent).
- Vendor management and cost-control experience.
- Proficient with basic computer tools (Excel, WhatsApp Business, ordering apps).
- Strong communication skills in English [and Hindi / regional language, if applicable].
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in Hotel Management, Culinary Arts, or Food Service Management.
- Experience with online ordering platforms (Swiggy, Zomato, DoorDash, UberEats, etc.).
- Marketing/social media experience for promoting catering services.
- Valid driver's license.
