Job Overview
We are seeking motivated and enthusiastic individuals for our Summer Hardscaping Apprenticeship program. Responsibilities
- Assist with excavation and site preparation using hand tools and power tools
- Support installation of hardscaping features such as patios, walkways, retaining walls, and other landscape structures
- Help with irrigation system installation and maintenance
- Participate in gardening and landscape maintenance tasks including planting, pruning, and soil preparation
- Operate equipment such as excavators under supervision
- Perform routine maintenance on tools and machinery to ensure safety and efficiency
- Follow safety protocols at all times during outdoor work activities
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and to high standards
Skills
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools used in landscaping and construction
- Familiarity with excavation equipment such as excavators (nice-to-have)
- Understanding of irrigation systems, gardening, and horticulture principles
- Experience or interest in landscape maintenance and general outdoor upkeep
- Mechanical knowledge related to equipment operation and troubleshooting (preferred)
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, digging, and standing for extended periods
- Strong work ethic with a willingness to learn new skills in a hands-on environment
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team
