Currently, we are hiring for the following position:
Registered Early Childhood Educator or equivalent (CYW / Rec & Leisure / OCT Member) for Before & After School Program (School Age) at Mount Albert Kids Club
Location: 5488 Mount Albert Rd, Mount Albert, ON, L0G 1M0
- Start Date: August 31, 2026
- Salary Range: $27.35-30.75/hour (based on experience) plus applicable fundings (up to $4.00/hour)
- Hours of Work: 25 hours per week with the possibility of additional supply hours
**Must be available to work a SPLIT SHIFT (7-9am and 3-6pm) Monday through Friday to be considered for a position**

Responsibilities and Duties
- To plan and implement an age appropriate program indoors and outdoors meeting the requirements of “How Does Learning Happen?” and the 4 foundations
- To create a professional and positive image for the Agency on a daily basis
- To have a working knowledge of the Child Care and Early Years Act and be in compliance with the Policies and Procedures of the Agency
- To work as a member of a team which includes other staff, parents, community and the Agency
- To share in the care and housekeeping tasks of the Centre
- To grow and improve in the knowledge and skills required for the job
- To create an inclusive environment where each child and family is valued

Skills and Qualifications
- Diploma in Early Childhood Education or equivalent (Child and Youth Care diploma/degree, Recreation and Leisure Services diploma/degree or Bachelor of Education/OCT Member)
- Registered and in good standing with the College of ECEs, if applicable
- Experience working with children JK to 12 years of age
- Recent Vulnerable Sector Check
- A valid Standard First Aid/CPR Certificate
- Up to date immunizations
- Familiar with "How Does Learning Happen?" would be an asset
- Strong programming and communications skills
- Strong knowledge of child development
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable interacting with and supporting families and community members
- Ability to actively participate in the outdoor program in inclement weather
- Physically able to lift and/or assist with the moving of a child, the moving of supplies or equipment
