Our client in software sector is seeking a results-driven and customer-focused Outbound Sales Manager to lead and scale a high-performing Business Development Representative (BDR) team. This role is ideal for a strategic sales leader who thrives in a fast-paced SaaS environment and is passionate about driving pipeline growth, mentoring talent, and optimizing outbound sales performance.
You will play a key role in developing prospecting strategies, improving operational efficiency, and collaborating cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Product, Enablement, and Revenue teams to achieve measurable business outcomes.
This is a hybrid role (3 days in office) based out of their Thornhill office.
Salary: $100,000 - $110,000 (OTE $145,000; uncapped)
- Lead and manage the BDR team, providing strategic direction, coaching, and day-to-day operational support.
- Develop and execute outbound prospecting strategies to drive qualified pipeline growth and revenue generation.
- Coach team members on effective prospecting techniques across multiple channels, including cold calling, email, SMS, and social media outreach.
- Clearly communicate the organization’s value proposition to prospective clients and generate interest in product demonstrations.
- Partner with cross-functional teams including Sales, Marketing, Product, Enablement, and Revenue Operations to align pipeline generation efforts.
- Establish team quotas and support forecasting, territory planning, compensation modeling, and resource allocation initiatives.
- Monitor pipeline health and key performance metrics such as conversion rates, deal progression, forecast accuracy, and win/loss trends.
- Identify operational inefficiencies and implement scalable process improvements to enhance team productivity and performance.
- Ensure CRM and pipeline data integrity by maintaining accurate, organized, and duplicate-free records.
- Oversee lead management workflows, including lead capture, scoring, routing, and lifecycle management within marketing automation systems.
- Generate reporting and actionable insights for leadership to support data-driven decision-making.
- Foster a collaborative, accountable, and high-performance team culture through mentorship and professional development.
- Create and maintain clear documentation for sales processes, workflows, and outreach operations.
- Effectively prioritize competing initiatives while maintaining a strong customer-first mindset.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in Business Development, Sales Development, Lead Generation, or Pre-Sales roles.
- Minimum 2 years of experience managing and developing BDR/SDR teams.
- Prior experience in a SaaS environment is strongly preferred.
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding performance targets and pipeline goals.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring capabilities with a passion for developing sales talent.
- Comfortable leading by example, including hands-on cold calling and outbound prospecting.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving, and collaborative environment.
- Strong analytical mindset with experience using data and metrics to drive performance improvements.
- Experience with CRM and sales engagement platforms such as Salesforce, Outreach, and Gong.
