Sales Rep – Distributor Development
Base salary $55 to 70K + Bonus up to $40K
Our client is a growing North American manufacturer serving the outdoor living and shade solutions sector through a network of channel partners and dealers. Known for delivering high-quality solutions and exceptional customer support, the organization is focused on expanding its market presence and accelerating growth across Canada and the United States.
They are seeking a Sales Rep to lead the expansion and performance of their dealer network. This role combines strategic business development, channel sales, and hands-on execution. The successful candidate will be amenable to working frequently out of the manufacturing facility in Vaughan Ontario during the first 6 months as they build and implement the strategy, interact with the team and learn the product. Once in the field, the Sales Rep will travel as needed to recruit new dealer partners, strengthen existing relationships, and drive sustainable revenue growth across North America.
Key Responsibilities
Dealer Network Development
- Identify, target, and recruit new channel partners and dealer organizations across North America
- Develop and execute regional dealer acquisition strategies
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of prospective dealer partners
- Negotiate partnership agreements and support the onboarding process
Account Growth & Relationship Management
- Support new partners through onboarding, training, and early-stage business development
- Drive revenue growth within existing dealer accounts
- Establish growth plans and sales objectives for key partners
- Conduct regular business reviews and performance discussions with dealer organizations
Market Development
- Identify high-potential markets, regions, and customer segments
- Monitor competitive activity, market trends, pricing, and positioning
- Represent the organization at trade shows, industry events, and customer meetings
- Provide market intelligence and customer insights to leadership
Sales Execution
- Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through closing
- Deliver against annual revenue and profitability objectives
- Collaborate with marketing on lead generation initiatives and sales enablement programs
- Maintain accurate forecasting, pipeline management, and reporting
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with operations and customer service teams to support dealer success
- Provide customer and market feedback to support product development and strategic planning
- Contribute to the development of sales tools, pricing strategies, and promotional programs
Operating Environment
- Entrepreneurial and growth-oriented organization
- Mix of strategic planning and hands-on sales execution
- Significant autonomy and ownership of territory development
- Travel throughout Canada and the United States (approximately 30–50%) once onboarded

Qualifications
- Experience selling into construction, building products, industrial, manufacturing, or related markets
- 2+ years of experience in B2B sales, ideally with a focus on exterior solutions
- 2+ years of experience in business development, channel sales, or dealer network management
- Proven track record of acquiring, developing, and growing channel partner relationships
- Strong business development, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to engage effectively with business owners, senior decision-makers, and channel partners
- Strategic mindset with the ability to execute and deliver results
- Strong organizational skills and sales pipeline management experience
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment
- Ability and willingness to travel throughout North America
