Currently we are looking for Safety Advisors / Coordinators for a variety of projects throughout the province.
One site safety inspection per month and must be able to respond to onsite incidents to support incident investigations as needed. The successful candidate will also be eligible for additional safety coordination with Irwin's Safety
Qualifications
- Must possess a valid NCSO certificate
- Must have 2+ years' experience in an industrial environment
- Must have 2+ years' experience in a safety advisor capacity
- Must have reliable transportation to get to site
Responsibilities
- Implementing safety measures, conducting inspections and promoting a culture of safety on site
- Evaluate and monitor health and safety hazards and develop strategies to control risks in the workplace
- Regular monitoring of safety compliance of workers and subcontractors
- Perform regular on-site safety inspections
- Investigate safety incidents on equipment and systems
- Conduct safety audits
- Perform regular safety meetings if required
- Report to H&S team with detailed findings, interactions, concerns and any trends observed in the field

Pay: $35.00-$40.00 per hour
