About the role
We're hiring a Lifecycle Marketing Manager to build and own our customer lifecycle — from first-day trial to long-term customer and advocate.
This role starts by building the instrumentation it runs on: retention reporting, funnel tracking, and attribution. From there, you'll use it to convert more trials, reduce churn, and grow referrals. If you like building systems from the ground up before running them, this is the role for you.
What you'll do
Phase 1 — Build the measurement layer Set up the retention and funnel instrumentation, conversion tracking, and dashboards the rest of the role depends on.
Phase 2 — Convert and retain
- Retention — reduce churn through save and recovery programs
- Trial-to-paid conversion — turn more trials into paying customers
- Lifecycle communications across the customer journey
Phase 3 — Scale and compound
- Advocacy amplification — build the lifecycle touchpoints that feed referrals: post-conversion moments, happy-customer nudges, and referral prompt timing within the journey
- Expansion and upgrade flows — lifecycle campaigns that move customers from monthly to annual plans and into higher tiers
- Win-back and re-engagement — systematic campaigns for lapsed or at-risk customers beyond the initial save flow
- Affiliate and ambassador program operations — the execution and comms layer; you run the programmes, the Head of Growth sets direction
- Continuous optimisation — A/B testing across the full lifecycle engine, cohort health reporting, and identifying the next lever
You'll own 3 numbers outright: retention/churn, trial-to-paid conversion, and referral-driven signups.
What you'll bring
- 5+ years in lifecycle, retention, or growth marketing — ideally at a SaaS company with a free-trial, subscription model
- You've built measurement from scratch — funnels, retention reporting, attribution — not just optimized dashboards someone else set up
- Comfortable with subscription and billing mechanics: failed-payment recovery, retry logic, and dunning are part of this role
- 3+ years of HubSpot experience across Marketing Hub and Sales Hub
- Strong in the data — you build your own funnels, segment, and test independently
Bonus: experience launching or running a referral or affiliate program
