Position Summary
As a Medical Imaging Professional, you will perform diagnostic imaging procedures within your licensed scope of practice while delivering safe, high-quality, patient-centered care.
You will work collaboratively with radiologists, cardiologists, physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support accurate diagnosis and timely treatment across emergency, inpatient, outpatient, surgical, and specialty care environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures according to modality-specific clinical protocols and professional standards.
- Produce high-quality diagnostic images to support accurate clinical diagnosis.
- Assess image quality and adjust imaging techniques as required.
- Prioritize urgent, emergency, and inpatient imaging requests.
- Monitor patients throughout imaging procedures and respond appropriately to changes in condition.
- Administer contrast media or radiopharmaceuticals where authorized and within scope of practice.
- Ensure compliance with patient identification, infection prevention, radiation safety, MRI safety, and departmental policies.
- Accurately document imaging procedures using PACS, RIS, Connect Care/EPIC, and electronic health records.
- Participate in quality assurance, equipment maintenance, and accreditation initiatives.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to provide exceptional patient care.
- Maintain professional competency and adhere to regulatory and organizational standards.
Required Qualifications
Applicants must possess credentials applicable to their imaging specialty, including:
- Active registration with the applicable Canadian regulatory body, such as ACMDTT, Sonography Canada, ARDMS, or equivalent.
- Current CAMRT certification, where applicable.
- Specialty certification relevant to the imaging modality, such as CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, Mammography, Cardiac Sonography, General Sonography, or other applicable specialty.
- Current Basic Life Support certification from a Canadian provider.
Preferred Qualifications
- Recent acute care hospital experience.
- Experience working in emergency, trauma, inpatient, outpatient, or specialty imaging departments.
- Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Commitment to patient safety, quality improvement, and professional excellence.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call rotations as required.

- Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check completed within the previous 90 days.
- Two professional references, including the most recent supervisor.

Pay: $60.00-$80.00 per hour
