Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Shipping Specialist role based in Edmonton, AB. The Shipping Specialist will prepare, pack, and label outgoing orders, ensuring accuracy, proper documentation, and compliance with carrier and customer requirements. Responsibilities include receiving and inspecting incoming materials, verifying quantities against packing slips, and recording discrepancies as needed. The role involves organizing and maintaining the shipping and receiving area and coordinating freight pickups and deliveries. The Shipping Specialist will also support basic inventory control activities, such as cycle counts and stock replenishment, while maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient work environment in accordance with company policies and health and safety standards.
Qualifications
- Strong Shipping & Receiving skills, including verifying orders, preparing documentation including commercial invoice, and coordinating with carriers and customs brokers.
- Proficiency in Packing and Shipping practices, ensuring accurate, secure, and compliant packaging and labeling of products.
- Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer skills for working with shipping systems, inventory software, and standard office applications.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, moving, and standing for extended periods, in a warehouse/manufacturing setting.
- Previous experience in industrial or manufacturing shipping/receiving is an asset; familiarity with oilfield or wireline tools is a plus.
- Commitment to workplace safety, teamwork, and clear, professional communication with colleagues and external partners.
- Preference will be given to applicants with a strong mechanical aptitude that are willing to help in assembly, manufacturing and servicing of tools.
Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour
