Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Siding Specialist to join our exterior finishing team. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining siding on high end residential homes and cottages in the Muskoka region. The ideal candidate will have experience working with various siding materials and possess a strong understanding of construction practices. Attention to detail, safety awareness, and the ability to work efficiently are essential for success in this position.
Responsibilities
- Measure and cut siding materials accurately according to project specifications
- Install siding using hand tools and power tools, ensuring proper alignment and secure fastening
- Perform repairs or replacements of existing siding as needed
- Apply caulking and sealants to ensure weatherproofing and aesthetic quality
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and project plans
- Assist with heavy lifting of siding panels and related materials safely and efficiently
- Maintain a clean work environment and organize tools and materials for optimal workflow
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and to high standards
Requirements
- Proven experience in siding installation or related construction work
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and blueprint reading
- Knowledge of different siding materials such as vinyl, wood, fiber cement, or metal
- Strong carpentry skills including caulking, framing, and general handyman experience
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely (up to 50 pounds)
- Construction experience with a focus on exterior finishing preferred
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and adhere to project deadlines
Pay: $21.43-$35.00 per hour
