Bar Isabel support staff are responsible for serving food to customers and supporting the other members of staff in their duties.
Position Responsibilities
The incumbent will be accountable for the following:
· Running food orders from the kitchen as directed by the chef
· Running drinks from the bar per Bar Isabel chit system
· Engaging with customers in a friendly manner
· Maintaining up to date knowledge of the Restaurant’s menu and cocktail/wine list
· Up to date knowledge of the cocktail list.
· General knowledge of the table wines by the glass.
· Taking action to correct and communicate any problems to management
· Collecting payments from patrons
· Keep the service stations neat and tidy
· Assisting the dishwasher, cooks, bartenders, or servers if necessary
· Staying up to date on staff communications and emails
*Additional duties as required.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:
· Ability to provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment
· Knowledge of restaurant menu and bar/wine selection
· A positive and friendly attitude
· Strong customer service skills
· Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
· Ability to work well under pressure and manage competing priorities
· Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
· Ability to perform high-quality work while unsupervised
· Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment and deliver orders in a timely manner
· Ability to lift and move items (i.e., Tables) weighing up to 50lb.
· Ability to stand and be on their feet for extended periods of time, i.e., 6+ hours
