Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Framer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry and construction, with the ability to read blueprints and schematics. As a Framer, you will play a crucial role in the building process, ensuring that structures are framed accurately and efficiently. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and proficiency with various tools and equipment.
Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine project specifications.
- Construct frameworks for buildings using wood or metal materials.
- Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently as needed for framing tasks.
- Utilize power tools to cut, shape, and assemble materials.
- Perform concrete forming tasks to establish foundations for structures.
- Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure project timelines are met.
- Conduct restoration work on existing structures as required.
- Lift heavy materials and components safely throughout the framing process.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Framer or in a similar construction role.
- Strong skills in blueprint reading and understanding of schematics.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely.
- Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools relevant to framing work.
- Experience with concrete forming techniques is preferred.
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively on-site.
