Bre-Ex Construction Inc. - a premier heavy civil contractor in Southwestern Ontario is currently looking for a 310T Licensed Technician to join the team.
The ideal candidate will have the desire, work ethic and experience to perform - repairs on commercial vehicles and heavy equipment. Responsibilities include but not limited to fixing diesel engines, air brakes, transmissions, and electrical systems, safeties and repair documentation.
Typical duties include:
- Perform maintenance-related work on vehicles, equipment, tools, safety devices, property/building etc.
- Shop organization and inventory- Inventory supplies, parts, material, tools, equipment.
- Perform service calls, maintenance work, repairs in the shop and on job sites.
- Follow safe work procedures, complete repair checklists, provide info for parts ordering etc., pick up items, deliver items.
- Comfortable operating lifting devices like overhead cranes, loader/fork attachments
- Conduct regular maintenance on machinery, systems, and vehicles/equipment.
- Meet with internal customers to better understand their concerns and identify issues
- Assemble mechanical components according to specifications.
- Examine machines and oversee diagnostic tests to determine functionality problems.
- Maintain work logs, repairs, and maintenance records.
- Offer consultation on maintenance and preventative procedures to machine and vehicle users.
- Meet physical demands including to stoop, crawl, work laying down, and lift heavy items.
Requirements:
- Valid G (minimum) Drivers' License
- Clean abstract
- Ability to work flexible hours
- Experience with Commercial Vehicles
- Experience with Heavy Equipment
