We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Field Erector / Welder to join our growing team. This role involves on-site installation, structural assembly, and welding of custom fabrication projects across various job sites.
Key Responsibilities
· Erect structural steel, joists, decking, and miscellaneous metals
· Perform field welding (SMAW / FCAW) to applicable standards
· Read and interpret shop drawings and erection plans
· Bolt-up, align, and plumb structural components
· Install stairs, railings, embeds, and custom fabrications
· Work safely at heights using fall protection systems
· Operate lifts, telehandlers, and rigging equipment
· Coordinate with site supervisors, crane operators, and other trades
· Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition
Requirements:
· Experience in structural steel erection and/or field welding
· CWB welding certification (asset – can be obtained if qualified)
· Ability to work at heights and in outdoor conditions year-round
· Strong understanding of construction site safety practices
· Ability to read and interpret drawings
· Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
· Physically fit and able to handle heavy materials
Assets:
· Valid working at heights certification.
· Valid CWB certifications.
· Valid Telehandler / lift certifications
