Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Mental Health Support Worker to join our team. In consultation with the Executive Director, the mental health support worker will:
- Assist with various administrative duties and provide office support as needed to other staff.
- They will assist individuals who walk in or phone into the office seeking assistance, information, or support.
- They will assist in fundraising activities like silent auction, volunteer coordination, and event setup.
- They will be heavily involved in the Society's Partnership Program with a variety of tasks including learning to facilitate the program as an advocate speaker, booking presentations, and utilizing technology to reach northern and rural locations.
- When possible they will also assist our Peer Support workers with the various programs we offer like Family Recovery Journey, Your Recovery Journey with WRAP, and online support groups.
Requirements
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Ability to collect accurate data and maintain detailed records
- Compassionate attitude with excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle sensitive situations discreetly and professionally
- Relevant certifications or training in mental health support or related fields are advantageous
Pay: $17.00 per hour
