Job Summary
Tutor Teach is growing, and we’re looking for passionate, reliable, and engaging tutors to support students in St. Albert and surrounding areas.
We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic private tutors to provide in-person instruction for students in grades 1 through 12 across all subject areas (English, French, Math, Science, and/or Social Studies) in St Albert, Alberta.
This role offers an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact on students’ academic success by tailoring lessons to individual learning styles. Successful candidates will be passionate about teaching, possess strong communication skills, and have experience working with children. Tutors will work closely with students to reinforce concepts, improve skills, and foster a love for learning in a supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Deliver personalized, engaging lessons across various subjects tailored to each student’s grade level and learning needs
- Assess student progress regularly and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
- Create a positive and motivating learning environment that encourages student participation and confidence
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and guardians regarding progress and areas for improvement
- Maintain organized lesson plans and recordkeeping of student sessions
- Support students in developing study skills, homework completion, and exam preparation
- Uphold safety protocols and ensure a respectful, inclusive classroom setting during all tutoring sessions
Qualifications
- In pursuit of, or hold, a Bachelor of Education (BEd), Bachelor of Arts (BA), Bachelor of Science (BSc), Bachelor of Kinesiology (BKin), Bachelor of Commerce (BComm), or similar.
- Proven experience in tutoring or teaching, preferably with classroom experience.
- Strong communication skills to effectively convey concepts and motivate students.
- Ability to work well with children of varying ages and learning abilities.
- Knowledge of subject matter relevant to the tutoring areas offered.
- Patience, adaptability, and a genuine passion for education.

- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- A recent Criminal Record Check, including Vulnerable Sector Clearance, is required.

Pay: $25.00-$45.00 per hour
