Independent Contractor – Nurse Practitioner (Diagnostic Imaging)

Our facilities are equipped with advanced imaging technology to support accurate, efficient, and timely patient care. We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Nurse Practitioner (Independent Contractor) to support our diagnostic imaging and screening programs.
Position Overview
As a Nurse Practitioner providing services to GNMI Medical Imaging, you will support patient assessments, screening programs, imaging coordination, and overall patient experience. You will work collaboratively with radiologists, technologists, and clinical staff while maintaining professional autonomy consistent with a contractor relationship.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and review medical histories
- Order MRI, CT, ultrasound, and blood work as part of screening and preventive programs
- Perform simple procedures (e.g., joint injections) where permitted and within scope
- Collaborate with radiologists on imaging findings and clinical follow-up
- Educate patients on preparation, procedures, risks, and after-care
- Maintain accurate, timely, and complete clinical documentation
- Support quality initiatives and uphold GNMI clinical standards
- Ensure all services comply with applicable regulatory, professional, and safety guidelines
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited institution
- Current Nurse Practitioner registration in Ontario (or eligibility to practice)
- NP certification in Adult or Primary Health preferred
- IVS certification is an asset
- Experience in diagnostic imaging, screening programs, or primary care preferred
- Strong clinical judgment, assessment, and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and patient-care skills
Contractor Relationship
- This role is offered on an independent contractor basis
- Compensation will be hourly contract-based, as agreed in a separate services agreement
Schedule & Location
- Flexible scheduling based on availability and operational needs
- Day, evening, and weekend coverage may be required
- On-site services at GNMI locations
