Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Dispatcher/Customer Service representative to join our team. In this role, you will coordinate transportation and logistics operations, manage communication with clients and carriers, and ensure timely delivery of freight. Responsibilities
- Coordinate and schedule freight shipments using transportation management systems such as SyteLine and AS400.
- Manage shipping & receiving processes, ensuring accurate data entry and documentation.
- Communicate effectively with carriers, clients, and internal teams via multi-line phone systems, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette.
- Monitor freight movements, troubleshoot issues, and provide timely updates to stakeholders.
- Analyze shipping data to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings within the supply chain.
- Maintain detailed records of shipments, deliveries, and related activities for reporting purposes.
- Support logistics operations related to 3PL providers and freight carriers by providing clear instructions and follow-up.
- Assist with general administrative tasks such as data entry, order processing, and documentation management.
Qualifications
- Proven experience with transportation management systems (TMS), SyteLine, AS400, or similar platforms.
- Strong understanding of supply chain processes, freight management, and shipping & receiving procedures.
- Excellent communication skills with professional phone etiquette and the ability to handle multi-line phone systems efficiently.
- Proficient in data entry with high accuracy; typing skills are essential.
- Analytical skills to interpret shipping data and generate actionable insights.
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Experience working with 3PL providers is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills combined with excellent problem-solving abilities. This role is vital in ensuring seamless logistics operations while providing outstanding customer service support.
