Schedule: 15 days on, 6 days off (approximately), 11hrs/ a day

As a Chef de Partie, you'll play an integral role in delivering a culinary experience that is warm, refined, and memorable—fueling guests for unforgettable days in the alpine and welcoming them back with thoughtful hospitality.
Working alongside the Head Chef and a close-knit kitchen team, you'll take ownership of either breakfast service or après-ski service, ensuring every dish is prepared with consistency, creativity, and attention to detail. This is a hands-on role where no task is beneath the team. From food preparation and service to cleaning, dishwashing, and supporting daily kitchen operations, everyone contributes to creating an exceptional guest experience.

Responsibilities:
Culinary Execution
- Lead the preparation and execution of either breakfast service or après-ski service, delivering exceptional quality and consistency every day.
- Prepare and present dishes to Bella Coola Heli Sports' standards for taste, presentation, and portioning.
- Support the Head Chef with dinner preparation and service as required.
- Prepare nutritious, high-quality meals that accommodate dietary requirements and guest preferences.
- Assist with recipe execution, menu preparation, and maintaining consistency throughout the season.
Kitchen Operations
- Complete daily food preparation, baking, cooking, and plating responsibilities within your designated station.
- Assist with receiving, organizing, storing, and rotating food inventory in a remote lodge environment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workstation throughout each shift.
- Support all areas of kitchen operations, including dishwashing, cleaning, and general kitchen maintenance.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and safe food handling procedures.
Teamwork & Guest Experience
- Work collaboratively with the Head Chef and kitchen team to deliver seamless meal service.
- Maintain clear communication with the culinary and lodge operations teams to support the daily heli-ski schedule.
- Contribute to a positive, professional, and supportive team culture.
- Interact with guests professionally and warmly, helping create the welcoming atmosphere Bella Coola Heli Sports is known for.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of professional culinary experience.
- Food Safe Level 1 certification.
- Strong culinary skills with experience in food preparation, presentation, and plating.
- Knowledge of a variety of cooking techniques, including baking and basic butchery.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Enjoy contributing to creative menu execution while maintaining consistency throughout multi-day guest stays.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for hospitality.
- Professional presentation and a positive, team-first attitude.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
- Comfortable working long days in a remote lodge environment.
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
