Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Certified Level II Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. Duties
- Assist dentists during a wide range of dental procedures including restorative, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry treatments.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly.
- Take and develop dental X-rays using digital imaging technology adhering to safety protocols.
- Manage patient records efficiently using ABELDent ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Perform vital signs assessments and document medical history to support comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain infection control standards through aseptic techniques and proper sterilization procedures to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Support the dental reception area by greeting patients, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and managing medical documentation with precision.
- Educate patients on oral health practices and post-treatment care instructions clearly and professionally.
- Assist with administrative tasks related to record keeping for both dental and medical documentation purposes.
- Perform imaging procedures accurately using 3D scanner.
Requirements
- Certified Level II Dental Assistant with current certification recognized by ODAA.
- Proven experience in general dentistry.
- Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including chairside assisting, X-ray procedures, dental impressions and lab work.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques.
- Familiarity with ABELDent software is ideal.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages and backgrounds.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and data security at all times.
- Experience working in a fast-paced dental clinic environment with a focus on patient care and infection control standards.
- Ability to support four-handed dentistry techniques for optimal workflow efficiency.
