Duties
- Bathing, drying, and brushing pets to maintain cleanliness and appearance
- Trimming fur, nails, and performing haircut styles according to customer preferences
- Cleaning and sanitizing grooming tools and work area regularly
- Assessing pet health and behavior to ensure safe grooming practices
- Providing excellent customer service by communicating with pet owners about grooming needs and recommendations
- Handling pets gently and securely, including heavy lifting when necessary for larger animals
- Managing appointment schedules and maintaining accurate records of services provided
Qualifications
- Prior experience in pet grooming or related animal care field is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners
- Physical strength and stamina to perform heavy lifting of larger animals and stand for extended periods
- Compassionate attitude towards animals and attention to detail in grooming tasks
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of safety and care
- Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions accurately
