Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting fresh fruits and vegetables, providing product knowledge and recommendations.
- Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately for transactions, including cash handling and processing payments efficiently.
- Maintain organized merchandising displays to attract customers and highlight seasonal or promotional items.
- Restock shelves regularly, ensuring produce is fresh, appealing, and properly labeled.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and maintaining a positive shopping environment.
Skills
- Previous retail sales experience, preferably in a grocery or produce setting, with strong knowledge of merchandising and stocking techniques.
- Proficiency with POS systems, cash handling, and basic math skills for accurate transactions.
- able to stay on your feet for long periods of time
- able to lift 30 lbs regularly
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills to assist customers both in-store and over the phone.
- Experience with upselling techniques to enhance sales performance while ensuring customer satisfaction.
