Teaching Qualification Requirements (TQRs):
Education:
1. Master educator with an MA in a relevant field e.g. Applied Drama, Drama in Community Contexts, Theatre, Acting) and/or extensive relevant experience as a school artist-educator in drama and theatre.
2. PhD or equivalent in a relevant field is an asset .
Experience:
1. Expert knowledge of:
How to use developmental drama in the elementary classroom.
Theoretical and practical underpinnings of drama education.
Using/integrating drama across the elementary curriculum.
Planning, teaching and assessing drama education lessons and units.
2. Previous successful experience teaching similar course(s) at the undergraduate or graduate level.
3. Experience as a master teacher in drama education or theatre in the Quebec educational system.
4. Familiarity with the Professional Competencies specified by the Ministère de l’Éducation.
Other:
1. Knowledge of the impact and proven record integrating pedagogical approaches anchored to equity, diversity and inclusion.
2. Familiarity using myCourses, ZOOM and other similar online platforms to facilitate quality teaching and learning experiences.
3. Familiarity teaching blended classes is an asset .
4. Familiarity with the application of a variety of digital teaching and learning tools.
