Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Field Operations Lead Hand specializing in Landscape and Snow Removal Operations. This leadership role involves overseeing daily field activities, managing team members, and ensuring high-quality landscape maintenance and snow removal services. The ideal candidate will possess strong supervisory skills, horticultural knowledge, and hands-on experience in landscape and construction projects. This position offers an opportunity to lead a team in delivering exceptional outdoor maintenance services while ensuring safety and efficiency on-site.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate landscape maintenance activities, including gardening, horticulture, irrigation, and general landscape care.
- Oversee snow removal operations during winter months, ensuring timely and effective clearing of designated areas.
- Lead and motivate a team of workers, assigning tasks and monitoring performance to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and company policies; conduct safety briefings as needed.
- Assist with the planning and execution of landscape construction projects, including site preparation, planting, and installation.
- Maintain equipment used for landscape maintenance and snow removal; perform basic troubleshooting or coordinate repairs.
- Communicate effectively with clients, team members, and management to ensure project requirements are met efficiently.
- Monitor weather conditions to adjust operations accordingly for optimal results.
- Provide training to team members on proper techniques for landscape care, safety procedures, and equipment operation.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in landscape maintenance, gardening, horticulture, or related outdoor services.
- Supervising or leadership experience in outdoor operations or construction projects is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of irrigation systems, landscape installation, snow removal techniques, and general horticultural practices.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
- Construction experience is a plus for overseeing site preparation and installation tasks.
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with clients and team members clearly.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and lift heavy equipment or materials as needed.
- Valid driver’s license preferred for transportation between job sites.
