Position Overview:
We are looking for a dependable and experienced Journeyman Mechanic or Millwright to work in our fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role will be responsible for performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on manufacturing machinery, equipment, and facilities to ensure optimal performance and production efficiency. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and mechanical systems.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and make necessary repairs in a timely manner.
- Install and assemble equipment and machinery according to blueprints and technical manuals.
- Perform alignment, calibration, and adjustment of equipment.
- Conduct inspections to identify potential problems and recommend improvements.
- Work with production teams to minimize downtime and improve overall equipment reliability.
- Adhere to all safety and company policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
Qualifications:
- Journeyman Mechanic Certification or equivalent experience in a mechanical trade (Millwright, etc.) or 3rd or 4th year Appentice.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with industrial machinery and systems.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Proficient in the use of tools, equipment, and machinery required for the job.
- Experience with welding, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems is an asset.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in physically demanding environments.
- Previous experience in manufacturing or industrial settings preferred.
