Overview
Position: Cabinet & Millwork Installer
Project Types: Residential & Commercial
Work Style: Self-sufficient, detail-oriented, capable of working independently
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in cabinet and/or finish millwork installation
- Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Must be able to read and interpret shop drawings and blueprints
Technical Skills:
- Tool Proficiency: Table saw, miter saw, drills, laser levels, pneumatic Nailers, scribing tools
- Installation Expertise: Cabinet hanging, leveling, scribing, shimming, and hardware installation
- Material Knowledge: Solid wood, plywood, MDF, veneers, and various finishing materials
- Finish Work: Trim installation, crown molding, panelling, and custom built-ins
Safety & Professionalism:
- Follow all WorkSafeBC rules and site safety regulations
- Proper use of PPE (hard hat, safety boots, vest, etc.)
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment at all times
- Ability to follow site-specific safety policies
- Punctual, reliable, and maintains professional conduct on job sites
- Valid class 5 driver's license
- Own hand tools
Physical Requirements:
- Able to lift 50+ pounds regularly
- Ability to work full-time hours with potential for overtime/weekends as needed
