Gray Jay is looking for a recently graduated Corrosion Engineer (E.I.T.) or Co-op student. This role will require the following skills:
- Coordinate and complete cathodic protection field surveys including the evaluation of collected data, and identification of cathodic deficiencies.
- Collect voltage and current measurements from infrastructure and cathodic rectifiers utilizing various testing equipment.
- Work on oil and gas facilities while utilizing the appropriate safe guards and risk management programs.
- Operate Trucks, UTVs, Snowmobiles, Argos and other off road equipment.
- Compile excel spreadsheets and data as required.
- Travel throughout western Canada to complete field work on a 2 week ON/2 week OFF shift rotation.
- Ability to independently solve problems while on site and in remote locations.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/QUALIFICATIONS
- E.I.T. status or enrollment in bachelors of science in Engineering.
- 1+ years experience in the oil and gas industry.
- Valid Drivers License with acceptable drivers abstract (5+ years experience).
- Must be proficient with Microsoft office.
- Must be able to work within a team who provides constructive criticism as required.
- Must be able to communicate clearly and respectfully in all work settings.
- Must be able to hike at least 1km.
- Must be able to carry at least 50 pounds regularly.
- Must be able to work overtime and away from home for a 2 week period.
Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
