Overview
We are seeking a motivated Part-time Prep Cook to join our small but mighty service team. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about good food and local business. The Prep/Line Cook will support our culinary team by preparing ingredients, assisting with meal assembly, and ensuring the kitchen maintains high standards of food safety and cleanliness, and fast efficient food service . This position offers flexible hours and an opportunity to develop culinary skills in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Assist in food preparation by chopping, slicing, and measuring ingredients according to recipes and standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces
- Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed to uphold safety standards
- Assist with stocking supplies and ingredients to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Follow all food safety regulations and guidelines to prevent contamination and ensure quality
- Serve food efficiently during meal service times, supporting the overall dining experience
Qualifications
- Prior experience in serving, food preparation, or cooking within a restaurant or food service environment is preferred
- Knowledge of food handling procedures and food safety standards
- Basic understanding of meal preparation and kitchen equipment operation
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Excellent teamwork skills and a positive attitude
- Ability to follow instructions carefully and maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety
- Weekend and closing availability is a must.
