Leather Cutter – Garment Manufacturing
Location: North York, Toronto — near Steeles Avenue West and Weston Road
Pay: $22.00 to $30.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Shift: Full-time day shift
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Leather Cutter to join a garment manufacturing company in North York.
The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately and efficiently cutting leather materials according to garment patterns and production specifications. This position requires strong attention to detail and previous experience working in leather garment manufacturing.
Responsibilities
- Cut leather materials accurately for garment production
- Operate a Gerber automated cutting machine
- Review patterns and cutting specifications before production
- Inspect leather for defects, colour variations, and quality
- Arrange materials to reduce waste and maximize usage
- Maintain accuracy while meeting daily production targets
- Keep the cutting area clean, safe, and organized
- Follow all workplace health and safety procedures
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of leather garment cutting experience
- Previous experience operating a Gerber cutter machine is required
- Ability to read and follow garment patterns and cutting instructions
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work Monday through Friday
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada with valid documentation
