ASSOCIATE LAWYER
We are seeking a Corporate Solicitor with 1+ years of experience to join our growing practice. This role is well suited to a lawyer who sees corporate law as more than transactions and is interested in becoming a trusted advisor for our local business clients, providing sound judgment, continuity, and practical guidance as businesses grow and change.
The Practice
Our corporate practice is relationship-driven and substantive, including:
- Incorporations and reorganizations
- Asset and share purchases and sales
- Commercial lending and security documentation
- Shareholder agreements and succession planning
- Ongoing corporate maintenance and advisory work for private companies
You will manage files independently, with support from experienced lawyers and staff, and maintain direct responsibility for client relationships.
What We’re Looking For
- Member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario
- 1+ years of corporate/commercial experience, or comparable practice exposure
- Strong drafting skills, sound judgment, and practical business instincts
- Ability to manage files autonomously while contributing to firm-wide client relationships
- Interest in becoming a trusted advisor for our local business clients
What We Offer
- An established firm with a strong reputation and consistent workflow
- Competitive compensation, commensurate with experience
- Meaningful autonomy with access to mentorship when needed
- A collegial, professional environment that values judgment, integrity, and balance
- A practice model built for long-term careers, not short-term turnover
