Overview
We are seeking a motivated Railing Installer Assistant to support our installation team in delivering high-quality railing systems for residential and commercial projects. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in construction and carpentry, working alongside skilled professionals. The role requires a proactive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn various aspects of installation and construction processes.
Duties
- Assist with the measurement, cutting, and fitting of railing components using hand tools and power tools
- Support the installation of railings according to schematics, blueprints, and safety guidelines
- Prepare work sites by setting up scaffolding, ladders, and safety barriers
- Help with the handling and transportation of materials and equipment to job sites
- Perform minor repairs or adjustments as needed during installation
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure safety and efficiency
- Follow instructions from lead installers and project managers to complete tasks accurately and on schedule
Experience
- Prior experience with hand tools, construction, or carpentry is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, or restoration projects is a plus
- Knowledge of caulking, welding, plumbing, flooring installation, tile laying, or construction painting is advantageous but not mandatory
- Basic understanding of construction safety protocols and ability to work at heights safely
- Strong teamwork skills with a focus on attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Willingness to learn new skills related to railing installation and general construction practices
