Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cabinet Maker/Installer to join our construction and woodworking team. This role involves crafting custom cabinets and installing them with precision in residential and commercial spaces. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry, woodworking, and installation, with the ability to interpret schematics and blueprints. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilizing a variety of hand and power tools, and contributing to high-quality craftsmanship.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to accurately produce cabinetry and related woodwork.
- Fabricate cabinets and custom wood components using woodworking techniques, CNC machinery, and hand tools.
- Install cabinets and associated fixtures on-site, ensuring proper fit, alignment, and finish.
- Perform restoration work on existing cabinetry or wood structures as needed.
- Utilize construction painting, caulking, rebar installation, flooring installation, tile laying, siding, roofing, masonry, plumbing, electrical experience, and other skills as required for project completion.
- Operate various power tools and hand tools safely and efficiently during fabrication and installation processes.
- Assist with construction estimating tasks for project planning and material procurement.
- Heavy lifting of materials and equipment to ensure efficient workflow while adhering to safety standards.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed on time with high-quality standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience in cabinetry making or woodworking; experience in construction or remodeling is a plus.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, or technical drawings accurately.
- Familiarity with concrete forming, masonry, flooring installation, tile laying, siding, roofing, rebar installation, plumbing, electrical work, or handyman experience is desirable.
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in carpentry and construction.
- Knowledge of construction estimating procedures is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work at heights or in confined spaces if necessary.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Prior experience with CNC machinery or manufacturing processes is beneficial but not mandatory.
