Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Lawn Maintenance Worker to join our landscaping team. This role involves maintaining and enhancing outdoor spaces through various landscaping and gardening tasks. The ideal candidate will have a passion for horticulture, landscape maintenance, and outdoor work, with the ability to operate a range of tools and equipment to ensure high-quality results. This position offers an opportunity to develop skills in landscape care, mechanical maintenance, and construction-related tasks within a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Mowing lawns, trimming shrubs, and edging to maintain aesthetic appeal
- Operating equipment such as excavators, power tools, and hand tools for landscaping projects
- Installing and repairing irrigation systems to ensure proper water distribution
- Performing gardening duties including planting, fertilizing, and weed control
- Maintaining landscape features and ensuring safety standards are met during all operations
- Assisting with construction or renovation projects related to landscape design or infrastructure
- Conducting routine maintenance on tools and machinery to ensure optimal performance
- Identifying and troubleshooting mechanical issues with landscaping equipment
Qualifications
- Prior experience with landscape maintenance, gardening, or horticulture is preferred
- Knowledge of mechanical systems and ability to perform basic repairs on equipment
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and construction-related tasks is advantageous
- Experience operating excavators or irrigation systems is a plus
- Strong understanding of landscaping principles and horticultural practices
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift heavy materials as needed
- Mechanical knowledge related to equipment maintenance and troubleshooting is desirable
- Valid driver’s license is preferred for operating larger machinery or transporting equipment
