We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Mechanic / Millwright to join our Maintenance Department in our manufacturing facility in Brampton, which produces Fluid products (Milk and other flavored products).
This position will be responsible for maintenance and troubleshooting of all plant equipment and facilities, processing equipment, high speed filling equipment as well as assisting in the installation of new equipment.
The ideal candidate will be part of a team working Sunday, Monday and Saturday nights. The individual will be required to work 6:00 p.m. – 6:30 a.m.
This is a permanent full-time position, with a wage rate of $ 44.55/hour as per the Collective Agreement.
Your future responsibilities:
Reporting directly to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will provide support to production and filling operations. This includes, not limited to, performing preventative and corrective maintenance and servicing of automated and high-speed filling equipment.
In this role you will be in charge of equipment changeover, trouble shooting, you will work with hydraulics, and pneumatics, and will need to read and understand both electrical and mechanical blueprints.
Your Qualifications and Skills:
- Ontario Millwright required.
- A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience as Millwright, preferably in high-speed packaging equipment in the dairy industry.
Skills & Knowledge:
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision making skills
- Hands-on skills with welding, machining.
- Thorough electrical and PLC knowledge. (would be an asset)
- Proficient with standard office computer technology such as SAP
- Welding/fabrication/machining
