At Etobicoke Swimming, we believe great coaching is about far more than teaching swimming. It is about developing confidence, resilience, discipline, and a lifelong love of the sport. Every training session is an opportunity to help young people reach their potential, both in and out of the water. As one of Canada’s largest competitive swimming clubs, ESWIM has a proud tradition of developing swimmers from their first competitive races through to provincial, national, and international success. We are guided by a clear philosophy, a collaborative coaching environment, and a shared commitment to continuous improvement. We are looking for an outstanding part-time Competitive Coach to join our team.
The Opportunity
Working alongside an experienced coaching staff, you will lead/assist on one of our competitive training groups and play an important role in the development of our athletes.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering high quality training sessions.
- Teaching outstanding stroke technique, starts, turns, and race skills.
- Supporting athlete development through positive relationships and effective communication.
- Working collaboratively with the coaching team to deliver a consistent athlete experience.
- Helping create an environment where athletes are challenged, supported, and inspired to improve every day.

- Has experience coaching competitive age group swimmers.
- Demonstrates strong technical knowledge and a passion for teaching.
- Builds positive relationships with athletes, parents, and colleagues.
- Is enthusiastic, organized, reliable, and committed to continual learning.
- Values teamwork and contributes positively to our coaching culture.
Qualifications:
- NCCP Swimming Coach certification (minimum Level 1 or equivalent).
- National Lifeguard Certification and Standard First Aid +CPR C
- Current Vulnerable Sector Check.
