I’m partnering with a well-established transportation company in Truro that’s been operating across Atlantic Canada for over 30 years. They’re growing and looking to add a Fleet & Maintenance Manager to oversee fleet performance, shop operations, and maintenance strategy.
What You’ll Do
- Manage preventative maintenance, repairs, and inspections across a large fleet
- Lead and support a team of mechanics/technicians
- Oversee shop workflow, inventory, and vendor relationships
- Ensure safety and regulatory compliance
- Work closely with leadership on planning, budgeting, and performance
- Track costs, downtime, and recommend improvements
What You Bring
- 5+ years in fleet or heavy-duty maintenance
- 2+ years in a leadership role
- Strong mechanical knowledge and PM experience
- Understanding of Canadian trucking regulations
- Experience with maintenance systems/ELDs
- Valid Class 5 license
Nice to have: ag/feed hauling experience, Class 1, or pneumatic systems knowledge
