A&W is seeking a dedicated and energetic Overnight Crew Member to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring smooth restaurant operations during overnight hours, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining high standards of food quality and safety.
Job Summary
As an Overnight Crew Member at A&W, you will be responsible for preparing food, serving customers, and maintaining cleanliness during late-night hours. This position requires a focus on efficiency, food safety, and exceptional customer service to ensure a positive experience for all guests. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare food items according to company recipes and standards, ensuring quality and presentation.
- Operate POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and cash handling.
- Serve customers with professionalism and courtesy, addressing inquiries and upselling menu items when appropriate.
- Manage cash register transactions accurately, including handling cash and card payments.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and dining areas in compliance with food safety regulations.
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and hygiene.
- Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies as needed.
- Ensure all food industry standards are met or exceeded during each shift.
- Support team members in completing tasks efficiently during overnight hours.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or food industry preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of food preparation, cashiering, and basic math skills for accurate transactions.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to upsell menu items effectively.
- Ability to work overnight shifts reliably and independently.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods.
- Understanding of food safety, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
