Duties will include:
- Greet guests in the restaurant in a warm and friendly manner
- Handle all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism
- Setting up the service line, ensuring all items necessary for service are in place and in good working order
- Delivering food to the guest in their correct seat numbers
- Describe dishes correctly and answer guests’ questions when prompted
- Monitoring table paces and reporting back to the expeditor
- Interpret cues from guests, ensuring orders are not rushed or delayed
- Ensure cleanliness of all china, cutlery and glassware
- Communicating information from the servers to the expeditors, ensuring guest request, changes or modifications are relayed accurately to chef
- Polishing silverware
- Assisting with clearing and setting tables
- Assist with setup and take down of banquets and functions
- Record, enter, and deliver room service orders
- Serve food, refill water, provide wine service, and attend to guest requests during banquets and functions
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar caliber establishment is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of SilverWare POS system an asset
- Must be comfortable working independently as well as with a team
- Maintain a professional and welcoming demeanor at all times
- High attention to detail and exceptional guest service skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including days, evenings, weekends and holidays
- Valid Serving-It-Right certificate (can be obtained prior to first shift)
