MINIMUM FORMAL EDUCATION/TRAINING REQUIRED:
- Undergraduate degree in data analytics, health informatics, statistics, public health, business analytics, or a related discipline required.
- Master’s degree in a related discipline preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum three (3) years of experience in data analysis, reporting, or program evaluation.
- Experience in a university, health system, or academic medical environment preferred.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Advanced data analysis and reporting skills is required.
- Strong proficiency with Excel and survey platforms is required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills is required.
- Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights is required.
- Ability to manage multiple datasets and reporting cycles concurrently is required.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical judgment is required.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse academic and administrative stakeholders is required.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote environment, including managing workload independently, meeting deadlines and collaborating virtually with diverse stakeholders is required.
- A satisfactory work record, including satisfactory attendance and punctuality, is required.
- Generates, collects, validates, and analyzes quantitative and qualitative data from multiple sources using various metrics for academic leadership and committees to support program evaluation, accreditation, continuous quality improvement activities and make informed quality improvement action plans.
- Establishes and maintains centralized data sources and documentation standards to improve data accessibility, integrity, version control, and long-term usability.
- Extracts and synthesizes rotation evaluation data for all available blocks from the previous academic year and the current academic year.
- Analyzes SurveyMonkey, Cognito Forms data capturing anonymous feedback from stakeholder including learners, faculty, staff, and other relevant groups ensuring comprehensive coverage and representation beyond resident-only feedback.
- Reviews narrative comments and quantitative metrics to identify trends, risks, strengths, and areas requiring intervention.
- Ensures data accuracy, consistency, and methodological rigor across all reporting cycles.
Reporting, Dashboards & Meeting Packages
- Supports the development, maintenance, and continuous improvements of dashboards and visual reporting tools that translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders.
- Produces standardized analytical reports, including block reports, bi-block reports, lead resident reports, and event evaluation summaries.
- Generates longitudinal and comparative analyses to support program review meetings, accreditation submissions, and leadership decision-making.
- Prepares comprehensive meeting packages, including agendas, previous meeting minutes, evaluation summaries, audit findings, and supporting documentation.
- Ensures reports meet approval, formatting, and distribution requirements prior to release to Education Directors and academic leadership.
Audit, Compliance & System Data Integration
- Conducts ITAR and field note audits for defined block periods to assess compliance with completion targets across programs and rotations.
- Maintains accurate, well organized datasets to support annual reports, accreditation submissions, and ad-hoc reporting requests from departmental and Faculty leadership.
- Liaises with Entrada administrators and stakeholders to optimize data extraction, reporting workflows, and system use.
- Identifies opportunities to streamline and automate data retrieval from Entrada and other platforms to improve reporting efficiency and data reliability.
Teaching Capacity, Learner Tracking & Workforce Insights
- Tracks teaching activity across distributed education sites, including clinical teaching, preceptor involvement, and learner placement patterns.
- Analyzes learner progression and post-training distribution, including tracking learners who remain in rural Manitoba versus urban centers following training experiences.
- Produces summary reports to support departmental planning, distributed medical education strategies, and workforce retention initiatives.
- Supports data-informed discussions related to recruitment, retention, and regional teaching sustainability.
Curriculum Documentation & Digital Content Audit
- Supports the review and updating of Goals and Objectives, AD/AHD curriculum documents, and related academic materials associated with experiences under review.
- Conducts audits of the Department’s internal website and digital content to ensure accuracy, currency, and alignment with approved curriculum and program documentation.
- Verifies consistency between internal web content, Entrada records, and approved academic documentation.
Other Duties
- Maintains organized, secure, and accessible data repositories in accordance with University and Faculty policies.
- Responds to ad hoc data and reporting requests from academic leadership and committees.
- Participates in continuous improvement initiatives related to data governance, evaluation methodology, and reporting.
- Participates in virtual meetings and collaborative work sessions using University-approved platforms.
- May be required to perform related duties not exceeding skills and capabilities as required.
