Summary
Reporting to the Supervisor on duty, the QA Team Member will ensure that all manufacturing of products is in compliance with Safe Work Practices, GMP, Standard Operating Procedures, company policies and strategy.
Responsibilities
- Monitor compliance with food safety and quality processes through the enforcement and promotion of TPC’s Food Safety and Quality Management System
- Assists in driving a strong food safety culture by monitoring adherence to food safety related policies and procedures. Implementing corrective actions, coaching staff as required, and reporting any deviations to QA Supervisor.
- Perform pre-operational inspection of facility. Issue report and follow-up with Operations team as required.
- Verify sanitation and cleaning processes, not limited to premises, equipment, and general housekeeping throughout shift
- Inspect incoming raw material for compliance with product specification and food safety criteria, and completion of inspection records.
- Collect retention samples from production runs and participate in sensory and/or shelf-life evaluations
- Participate in product and environmental sampling and testing programs.
- Perform Quality duties including random verification and review of Quality documentation.
Requirements and Skills
- Must be able to work in cold temperature environment for an extended period of time.
- Facility is operational 7 days/week. Must be available to work all shifts.
- Must have at least 1 year's of expereince in food manufacturing industry
- Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment is an asset.
- Follow good housekeeping practices.
- Strong computer knowledge and ability to work with various programs (Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.).
- Exceptional time management skills and high level of attention to detail.
- Self-motivated, strong work ethic.
