Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head Chef to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive restaurant and kitchen experience, and a passion for food excellence. As Head Chef, you will oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, ensure food safety standards are maintained, and inspire your team to create innovative and high-quality dishes that delight our guests.
Duties
- Supervise and manage kitchen staff, including cooks, sous chefs, and food service personnel
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure consistency and quality
- Develop and update menus in collaboration with management to reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences
- Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation in compliance with health regulations
- Manage inventory, ordering supplies, and controlling food costs effectively
- Train and mentor kitchen staff on food handling, safety procedures, and culinary techniques
- Coordinate with restaurant management to ensure smooth service flow during operating hours
- Monitor kitchen operations to optimize efficiency and productivity
- Serve as a leader in fostering a positive team environment focused on hospitality excellence
Qualifications
- Proven supervising experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Extensive background in food preparation, cooking, and food service operations
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively
- Knowledge of restaurant management practices and food safety regulations
- Experience with food handling procedures and maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Demonstrated ability to develop menus and innovate culinary offerings
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work under pressure during busy service hours
- Previous restaurant or kitchen experience within the food industry is required; hospitality experience is a plus
- Passion for serving guests with exceptional cuisine and maintaining a high standard of hospitality excellence
Pay: From $50,000.00 per year
