Job Summary
We are seeking skilled and versatile Carpenters and Apprentices to join our construction team for Industrial and Commercial projects throughout Kamloops and Area. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Carpentry. This role involves working on diverse projects such as utility formwork, pipeline formwork, concrete placing/finishing, modular trailer/infrastructure set up, framing projects, interior finishing. The Successful Candidate will be responsible for executing detailed construction tasks with precision and safety in mind, contributing to high-quality project outcomes.
Schedule
Current job schedule is M-F (48 Hours per Week) at a site approximately 50 minutes from Kamloops, EMC provides company transportation from our office and a travel allowance. EMC has future opportunities beyond this project both local and non local shift work
Duties
- Interpret and work from blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to accurately execute project plans.
- Perform concrete forming, rebar installation, and concrete finishing for utilities and structures.
- Assist with craning and rigging of Modular Buildings, construction of stairs/decks/ramps/roofs, finishings and associated infrastructure.
- General Maintenance, upkeep and capital projects on Client owned buildings/infrastructure.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for modular and utility projects.
- Assist with construction estimating and material planning to ensure efficient workflow.
- Execute heavy lifting safely and assist in the movement of materials and equipment across job sites.
- Clean, Maintain and Organize job sites.
- Follow safety protocols rigorously to maintain a secure work environment during all phases of construction.
- Collaborate with team members on-site to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining quality standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction-related roles.
- Red Seal Journeyman Ticket or ITA Registered Apprentice
- Knowledge of blueprint reading and schematics for various construction projects.
- Hands-on experience with hand tools and power tools used in construction tasks.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding work for extended periods.
- Familiarity with construction estimating processes is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail and safety compliance.

- Ability to pass a pre-employment Drug and Alcohol screening
- AWP, Fall Protection, RTFL, Skid Steel, First Aid tickets an asset
- Must have valid driver's license and own reliable transportation
- Willingness to travel to projects out of town an asset
Pay: $24.00-$38.00 per hour
