We’re looking for a driven, organized Salesperson / Project Estimator who can help turn qualified opportunities into profitable, well-scoped work.
Position Summary
This role is a blend of sales, estimating, and client relationship management. You’ll meet with prospective clients, understand their goals, develop accurate and profitable estimates, present proposals, and help hand sold work off cleanly to production.
The right person is confident with people, sharp with numbers, and able to move a project from first conversation to signed contract with professionalism and urgency.
Key Responsibilities
● Meet with prospective clients to understand project goals, scope, budget, and timeline
● Conduct site visits, gather measurements, photos, and field notes
● Build accurate estimates for landscape construction and related projects
● Prepare and present professional proposals
● Follow up consistently on open quotes and sales opportunities
● Manage leads and pipeline activity in the company CRM/system
● Review estimate details to ensure labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, overhead, and margin are properly accounted for
● Coordinate with operations to confirm scope, feasibility, scheduling considerations, and handoff details
● Support pricing updates and estimating templates as needed
● Track quote status, close rates, and sales activity
● Maintain strong communication with clients throughout the sales process
● Help identify upsell opportunities and additional project scope where appropriate

● Qualified leads are followed up on quickly and professionally
● Estimates are accurate, complete, and aligned with company margin targets
● Proposals are delivered on time
● Sold jobs are handed off clearly to production with minimal confusion or rework
● Pipeline is organized, current, and easy to review
● Clients feel guided, informed, and confident throughout the buying process
Required Skills & Qualifications
● Experience in sales, estimating, project planning, or landscape/construction-related work
● Strong understanding of landscape construction, materials, installation methods, and job costing principles
● Ability to read site conditions and translate client needs into clear scope and pricing
● Strong communication and relationship-building skills
● Organized, self-directed, and responsive
● Comfortable with CRM systems, spreadsheets, and estimating software
● Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to local client sites
● Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines at once
Preferred Qualifications
● Experience in landscape design/build, hardscaping, pools, or outdoor living projects
● Knowledge of estimating platforms such as LMN or similar systems
● Experience presenting proposals and closing sales
● Understanding of production handoff and field execution needs

Compensation: dependent on educational and work experience

Pay: $60,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
